I love finding the essence and the individuality of the people, places and objects I photograph. Relaxed and open by nature, I am good at putting people at ease, especially those who hate having their photographs taken.
My huge passion is documentary photography so I love shooting in a natural, unobtrusive, photojournalistic way.
I started my career working with New Zealand's top Wedding and Portrait photographers at Photography by Woolf, shooting weddings, portrait sittings, governmental and diplomatic visits, sports and press assignments (subjects including Nelson Mandela, Edmund Hillary, The All Blacks).
I have been published in newspapers, magazines and books including; The New Zealand Herald, The Press, Sunday Star-Times, Vanity Fair Australia, Vogue Australia, Interiors, and First Light; a dawning of the new Millennium. Awards include a Gold Medal at the International Portrait and Wedding Photography Competition Las Vegas, Kodak young photographer of the year, and the Agfa Listener Timeframe Winner. I hold a Licentiateship and an Associateship with the Photographic Society NZ.
I love meeting new people and aim to make having your photograph taken a fun experience.
