Hi, I'm Cristina. I'm a photographer of people mainly. And emotions. I like to capture something more than just a good image.
I spent half of my life in Italy and half in London, with some shorter chapters in Spain, Australia, the US and Bali. My camera has been with me throughout, my style absorbing the beauty around me and evolving experience after experience.
I graduated at photography school in Rome back in the days of film. The switch to digital was made mostly during my travels, working at high end holiday resorts with some underwater photography thrown in the mix. I came back to London for good in 2009 and until the events of 2020 I've been busy mostly shooting live music - my number one passion - and teaching photography classes, besides portraits and events shoots.
I took advantage of lockdown get my professional certification at the MPA (Master Photographers Association) and arrange a small studio space in my home in beautiful Chiswick, West London, where I still shoot creative portraits and newborn. As the world reopened its doors, I reintroduced live music to my schedule and resumed my long time collaboration with Peter Doherty and the Libertines.
Nowadays, when I'm not busy with photoshoots and private events, I mostly shoot live music and other stuff for Alamy Live News.
In my shoots, I like to be creative and spontaneous, slowly engage with the subject, make them comfortable and go with their flow. Nothing is ever rushed.
